It's a quite simple but nonetheless effective construction actually, and with a Talbot Samba very much the same as with the 104 types by Peugeot.

Switch #27 controls the temperature, switch #19 controls the inlet of outside air or recirculation, wheels #18 and #28 control the direction of airflow (defrost or interior, right and left separable) and switch #24 controls the one or two-speed heater-ventilator. Regards, M.
